Vacancy- Clerk II

The Guyana Post Office Corporation seeks a competent and motivated individual to fill the position of Clerk II – Finance Department, Guyana Post Office Corporation, Headquarters.

Principle Accountabilities:

· Counting and recording of OAP/PAB coupons received from district Post Offices daily in logbook.

· Examine coupons while checking schedules. Enter examined coupons in system (Blocks I-III)

· Ensure all documents received from district offices are correctly and accurately entered into the ledger.

· Handing over of OAP/PAB coupons to Ministry of Social Protection staff.

· Ensuring receipts are written for coupons collected by the staff of Ministry of Social Protection.

· Receiving & checking off all work from district offices daily.

· Reconciliations of all accounts stated above.

· Perform any other work-related duties that may be assigned.

Skills/ Competencies

· Possess strong people’s skills

· Excellent customer service skills

· Strong problem-solving skills

Qualification/Experience

· Five (5) CXC subjects inclusive of Mathematics, English, POB and POA

· Computer Literacy in Microsoft Applications

· Experience in Finance/Accounts will be an asset
