Rental of Private Office Boxes (P.O Box)- This service offers a secure and private way for individuals and businesses to receive strictly mail via a dedicated mailbox located at select Post Offices that is exclusively assigned to the renter.

To open a P.O. Box at the Guyana Post Office Corporation, here are the key requirements and conditions:

  1. Application: Fill out the application form, providing your name, address, and contact details.
  2. Deposit: A deposit equivalent to the annual rental cost of the selected box size is required.
  3. Rental Period: The minimum rental period is 12 months, with rent payable annually in advance, even if an invoice is not received.
  4. Suspension Policy: The service may be suspended if rent is not paid within seven days of the due date.
  5. Refunds: If you wish to cancel the service, a 7-day written notice is required for a refund of the deposit.
  6. Address Changes: Any change of address must be immediately communicated in writing.
  7. Keys: Additional keys can be obtained at a cost, provided the rental is fully paid. All keys must be returned when the service is discontinued.
  8. Identification: Present an ID or passport for verification.
